The founder of the project Folk Ukraine and the organizer of the New Year celebrations in Kyiv, Ihor Dobrutskoy, said that the main Christmas tree of the country will be dismantled in mid-January, and then sent for recycling. About this informs The site of Kyiv city.
As it became known, the ceremonial closing of the festive program will take place on January 13 in Sofia Square, and on January 19 in Podil.
It is noted that after the official closure of the New Year celebrations, the Christmas trees installed in the Sofia and Kontraktova areas will be sent for recycling. In turn, the obtained sawdust from the branches are well suited for mulching trees and bushes in Kyiv.
