In network film about the film «The Secret Diary of Symon Petliura» has appeared. This was reported in the press service of Ukrainian State Film Agency.
According to the official message, the authors worked 6 years to create the script. Shooting began in February and continued until July 2017.
Movie was shot in Lviv, Kyiv and Kyiv oblast, Paris, as well as on territory of Dovzhenko film studio and pavilion, where a large decoration of several Parisian streets and interiors was built.
«Ukraine in 1917-1921. Desperate struggle for the independence of Ukrainian People’s Republic continues. Leader of the UNR, Symon Petliura, tries to contain the aggression of Bolshevik Russia. After losing the fight, Petliura is forced to immigrate to Paris. But even there, because of the actions of Moscow agents, his life is constantly under threat», Ukrainian State Film Agency describes the movie plot.
It is known that the release of ilm is scheduled for September 6th, 2018. Main roles in the historical drama were performed by Serhiy Frolov, Irma Vitovska, Bohdan Beniuk, Evhen Nishchuk and Oleh Trepovskyi.
On the eve, on August 1st, the new trailer of the historical drama was posted on the network.
