State Statistics: Ukraine’s population decreased by about 233 thousand people

Over the past 2018, the population of Ukraine decreased by 233 thousand people, and as of January 1, 2019 it amounted to 42,153,000 people, 112.ua reports with reference to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
Only in December 2018 to January 2019, the population of Ukraine decreased by 24,000 people.
At the same time, there are 57 live births per 100 deceased in Ukraine, the State Statistics Service noted.
The State Statistics Committee states that the data cover all oblasts of Ukraine, except for the temporarily occupied Crimea, Sevastopol, and part of the temporarily occupied territories in the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.
As The Journalist reported, the State Statistics Service has named the number of Internet users in Ukraine.
