GPU asks to arrest ex-President Yushchenko’s property

The head of the special investigations department of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine (GPU), Serhii Gorbatiuk, said that the GPU asked the court to arrest the property of the third president of Ukraine, Viktor Yushchenko. Radio Svoboda reports about it.

Gorbatiuk noted that the arrest concerned the property belonging to him “according to the registers”.

“In the property registries he is listed as the owner, the investigator is asking for the arrest of this property,” Gorbatiuk noted.

The GPU representative added that in case they had reported suspicion,  they should react.

“This is not a right, it is a duty,” said Gorbatiuk.

Earlier, The Journalist reported that Zelensky and Yushchenko discussed situation regarding early elections.
