Groisman: Recalculation of pensions from July 1 is the next step in changing pension system

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman noted that since July 1, recalculation of pensions has started; it concerns people with long employment service, but low salaries, Chernobyl victims, military liquidators and people with war disabilities. Uryadovy portal reports about it.

“I am a social prime minister, and it hurts me. I want us to speed up on this issue”, Groisman said.

Thus, starting from July 1, pensions for 33 thousand liquidators will be increased; in case a pension amounts to 3.8 – 5.5 thousand UAH, after recalculation it will be 5.8 – 10.5 thousand UAH.

The pension will also be increased for 43 thousand people with war disabilities (ATO and JFO). The pensions of 3.5 – 4.4 thousand UAH will be raised up to 5.6 – 10.1 thousand UAH.

The Prime Minister stressed that it was already the fifth recalculation of pensions; since January 1, 2020, the pension for military retirees will be increased by 25%, and the next mass recalculation of pensions will automatically take place on March 1, 2020.

Previously, The Journalist reported that according the Minister of Social Policy Reva Ukraine’s Pension Fund will lose UAH 500 million by end of 2019 amid presidential decree on notaries.
