First Deputy Minister of Health Iryna Sadoviak during her briefing held today, July 14, said that the Ministry of Health has amended the protocol for coronavirus treatment.
According to her, lopinavir/ritonavir treatment was excluded from the protocol.
“The unified protocol for coronavirus treatment will now include dexamethasone and exclude lopinavir/ritonavir, as well as expand possibility of using remdesivir. And – the most important – we excluded hydroxychloroquine from the treatment protocol for patients with severe coronavirus symptoms and for children,” Sadoviak said.
She added that hydroxychloroquine was allowed to be used for patients with moderate symptoms and for vulnerable groups.
