The Ministry of Health of Ukraine urges Ukrainians to follow the usual precautions in relation to coronavirus.
The department noted, that “coronaviruses are a large family of respiratory viruses that can cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe deseases.”
The symptoms of coronavirus are fever and shortness of breath. In case of symptoms indicating acute respiratory diseases during or after the trip, the Ministry of Health recommends travelers to consult a doctor and provide information about the history of travel.
The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) said that Ukraine did not detect problematic situations associated with an outbreak of coronavirus.
From January 20, the National Security and Defense Council created an operational group to monitor and analyze the situation regarding the spread of the new coronavirus (2019-n-CoV).
According to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danyliv, the situation with the spread of the new coronavirus is under constant control, and the National Security and Defense Council has all the necessary information on this subject.
He added that the spread of the new coronavirus is being monitored in relation to the countries of Asia (primarily China), Europe, the USA and the CIS countries with which Ukraine has a common border.
