The Ministry of Health plans to introduce a new method for diagnosing coronavirus using rapid antigen tests. For this, the Ministry of Health is asked to allocate about UAH 2 billion, according to Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov.
“We will introduce a new testing method, the brand new one in the world. These are rapid antigen tests. We have already submitted the appropriate changes to certain regulations, as well as a request for additional funds. This is about UAH 2 billion that we need to fight coronavirus, the lion’s share for this testing method,” Stepanov said.
The minister noted that in this way they want to increase the number of tests for coronavirus.
