During the current epidemiological season in Ukraine, 43 people died from complications caused by influenza. This was announced by the chief sanitary and epidemiological doctor Viktor Lyashko on the air of the Right to Power panel show on 1 + 1 TV channel.
Ukraine is experiencing a season of increased incidence of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections (ARI). About 200,000 – 240,000 patients are recorded weekly. They provided with necessary assistance.
Fatalities are recorded, since only 1.5–2% of the population are vaccinated against influenza.
“Flu become priority problem for Ukraine: in this epidemic season 43 people died from the flu,” Lyashko said.
As The Journalist reported, Lviv, Chernivtsi and Zakarpattia oblasts be the first to receive COVID-19 detection systems.
