Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk said that some 131 communal heating enterprises have recalculated payments for their services in 124 Ukrainian cities, due to lower gas prices.

“Sixteen regional centers have already joined the government initiative:Vinnytsia, Lutsk, Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kropyvnytskyi, Lviv, Odesa, Rivne, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kherson, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskiy, Chernihiv, Kyiv,” the statement said.

According to the head of government, payments for heat and hot water for citizens reduced by 30%.

Honcharuk emphasized that the decrease in payments is a result of the joint work of the president, government and local authorities. It also became possible due to decline in gas prices.

As The Journalist reported, Russia may need to increase gas transit through Ukraine.
