The total area of residential premises, for which residential construction permits were issued, decreased by 1.4 times in the H1 of 2020 compared to the same period in 2019. This was reported on the website of the State Statistics Service.
The total area of new housing construction totals 3.85 million square meters, of which 3.6 million square are apartment buildings. The total area of new housing construction in Kyiv decreased by 5.8 times by January-June 2019 – to 368.1 thousand square meters, while in the Kyiv region it doubled – up to 1.36 million square meters. Significant volumes of new housing construction were also recorded in Lviv (513.6 thousand square meters), Odesa (395.6 thousand square meters) and Ivano-Frankivsk (304.6 thousand square meters) regions.
