Human rights activists urge Crimean occupation authorities to send political prisoner Bekirov to hospital

The Human Rights Watch (HRW) international organization calls on the Russian occupation authorities of the Crimea to transfer the Crimean Tatar activist Eden Bekirov to a medical institution immediately to provide him with the necessary qualified assistance. This is reported by HRW.

“The Crimean Tatar activist, who has been held in custody for almost eight months, is gravely ill and needs urgent qualified medical help. Russian officials in Crimea should immediately send 58-year-old Eden Bekirov to the hospital for examination and treatment,” the statement of the International Human Rights Organization said.

To the senior Europe and Central Asia researcher at Human Rights Watch, Yulia Gorbunova, the Bekirov’s state of health of causes concern among his relatives and lawyers.

As The Journalist reported, Bekirov’s lawyer asks Moskalkova to apply for transfer of his client to house arrest.
