Ukraine sent 13 official proposals to the Russian Federation on the exchange prisoners, who are being held in the uncontrolled territories of certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts (ORDLO) and in the occupied Crimea. This was stated by the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations, Volodymyr Yelchenko, during a meeting of the UN Security Council, UATV reports.
Yelchenko noted that official proposals concerned exchange imprisoned Russian citizens who were sentenced for a crime against the sovereignty of Ukraine. He also added that there is still no response from Russia regarding such proposals.
Today, February 13, a regular meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on the settlement of the conflict in Donbas will be held.
“Participants of the Minsk process are desperately trying for many months to convince the Russian Federation to agree prisoners exchange based on a formula which will be accepted by everyone. Including the formula “all for all”, said Volodymyr Yelchenko.
As The Journalist reported, became known where the memorial to the dead Kievan ATO participants would be installed.
