At the same time, the Patriarch has criticized the Patriarchate of Constantinople for interference in the Ukrainian church processes, 112 Ukraine news agency reports.
«We pray for the long-suffering people of Ukraine. Globalization has as its main goal, first of all, the destruction of the Orthodox Church. The Globalization is trying to penetrate into the "church body" with its tentacles in order to ruin it. This happens all over the world, including Ukraine. The interference of politicians in church affairs, as well as the interference of representatives of one church in affairs of another under the influence of politicians: this are signs of such a process,» – said His Beatitude Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and all Palestine Theophilus III.
As The Journalist reported, the ROC will sever relations with Constantinople, if the Ukrainian church will get independence.
