The state budget in Ukraine in 2018, on average, spent on training one student at a secondary education institution 21.3 thousand UAH, according to the website of the Ministry of Finance.
It is noted that the Ministry of Finance analyzed the data of 14.8 thousand schools (3.9 million students and 425 thousand teachers). In 2018 their total expenses amounted to 82.8 billion UAH.
According to the ministry, the analysis showed that the average cost of training one student in certain areas and united territorial communities compared to the average cost in the country has exceeded several times.
Based on the collected data, the Ministry of Finance prepared an interactive analytical tool (“cheap board”), allowing to see the budget expenditures on education throughout the country, as well as in certain areas or schools.
The Ministry of Finance promised to conduct continuous monitoring of the expenditures efficiency related to secondary education and update the data of the “dashboard”.
