In Kyiv, community health facilities are ready to vaccinate against measles children from 6 months and adults of any age for free.

This was reported in the press service of the KSCA with reference to the first deputy chair of the Kyiv City State Administration Mykola Povoroznyk.

“Thus, free measles vaccination is guaranteed to all adults who have been in contact with patients (it is important to get vaccinated during the first 72 hours following the contact), to those who have not been affected by measles and are unaware of their childhood vaccinations, as well as to those having immunity problems”, said Povoroznyk.

According to the vaccination schedule, kids of 12 moths undergo their first vaccination against measles, mumps and rubella, but due to the outbreak of measles in Ukraine, the first free vaccination can be received by 6-month old kids.

As Povoroznyk explained, it is possible to get measles vaccinations in a communal primary care institution, following a visit to a doctor (family doctor, general practitioner or pediatrician with whom a declaration was signed) for professional advice on vaccination.

As reported by The Journalist 25 new ambulances appeared in Kyiv.
