According to the World Bank, the number of poor Ukrainian people from 2014 to 2017 decreased from 8.6% to 2.4%.

The level of poverty is determined on the basis of country-specific indicators, including geographical ones. And mostly food prices and consumer basket are taken into account. Indicators are compared not between countries but within the country.
