In Ukraine, Park and Ride areas will be built this summer for cars that entered million-plus cities from the suburbs. This was discussed in the Snіdanok s 1 + 1 TV show.
According to the Ministry of Regional Development, this will help to reduce car collapse in major cities after drivers choose to leave their car and proceed to their destination on public transport.
Lev Partskhaladze, Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services, explained that such parking areas will be built near the end metro stations, railway and bus stations. This requirement will be mandatory for all three million-plus cities – Odesa, Kharkiv, Kyiv – from July 1, 2019.
