Former Ukrainian TV journalist, and now the current politician, MP and First Vice-Speaker of Verkhovna Rada Iryna Herashchenko wrote a letter of resignation from one of her positions, reports the web portal “Facts and Comments”.
“I want to inform you that today I wrote a statement as authorized by President Petro Poroshenko on the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas and the representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian subgroup with a request to release me from these posts. I thanked President Poroshenko for this high honor to work in his team,” the parliamentarian said.
Gerashchenko also added that this decision is her personal position.
