Ivano-Frankivsk, Uzhhorod, Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia announced the closure of catering establishments and ban any public events following the same restrictions imposed in Kyiv, Odesa and Lviv earlier.
From March 16, all public catering establishments, shopping and entertainment centers in Ivano-Frankivsk, except for grocery stores and pharmacies, are closed due to the coronavirus spread. This was announced by the city mayor Ruslan Martsynkiv:
According to him, the activity of the Centers for the provision of administrative services of a branch of the department of social policy will also be temporarily limited. They will be provided online.
The mayor appealed to city residents with a request not to leave the house without unnecessary need and to stay at home (self-isolation).
The same decision was made by Zaporizhzhia and Uzhhorod city councils.
According to Volodymyr Buriak, the city budget additionally provides UAH 100 million to combat the coronavirus spread and the provision of medical care to patients:
Mykolaiv city authorities also decided to close all public institutions in the city from March 17. This was reported by the local edition of NikVesti.
“On March 17, from 00:00, public enterprises in Mykolaiv, regardless of the form of ownership and subordination, with a staff of more than 10 people will temporarily suspend their work,” the message reads.
