Maiorsk checkpoint suspends its operation due to threat of shelling

The Maiorsk checkpoint, located in Donetsk region, suspends its operation for the period of regular shelling. This is reported by the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) HQ on its Facebook.

«Considering the deterioration of the situation, the non-compliance of the ceasefire regime and the inability to ensure the safety to the civilian population within Horlivka-Bakhmut road corridor by Russian-occupation forces, realizing the real threat to life and health of the individuals who are crossing the inter-entity boundary line, the Commander of the Joint Forces adopted a decision on temporary suspension of persons and vehicles passing through the Maiorske checkpoint for the period of the threat existence within Horlivka-Bakhmut road corridor,» – the message said.

The headquarters urged citizens to to consider this information at the time of planning their visits
Recall that on August 23, the militants attacked Maiorsk checkpoint using sniper rifles.
