On December 21, the militants violated ceasefire six times in the area of the Joint Forces Operations. Ukrainian servicemen opened fire in response to enemy provocations. This was reported by the press center of the JFO headquarters on the Facebook page.
In the area of responsibility of the operational-tactical group “Pivnich” not far from Zolote-4, the enemy opened fire from hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.
At the positions of the Ukrainian defenders near Luhanske and Shumy, the enemy fired from 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.
As a result of enemy shelling, two servicemen from the Joint Forces received shrapnel wounds near Pivdenne.
In the area of responsibility of the operational-tactical group “Shid” near Vodiane settlement on the Azov Sea, the enemy fired from an anti-tank grenade launcher.
