On April 18, militants violated the ceasefire 10 times in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area, the press center of Ukraine’s JFO said in an update on Facebook.
“The armed forces of the Russian Federation violated the cease-fire regime 10 times over the past day, two times using 82-mm mortar and tank armaments banned by the Minsk agreements,” the message says.
Militants also shelled Ukrainian defenders from grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.
In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Vostok (“East”), the militants attacked Ukrainian positions eight times near Pavlopil, Vodyane, Lebedynske, Pisky, Talakivka settlements.
In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Sever (“North”), the enemy attacked JFO positions near Svitlodarsk and Krymske.
One Ukrainian soldier was wounded. No casualties among the Ukrainian troops have been reported over the past day.
According to intelligence data, on April 18, three militants were killed, another five were injured.
