The average nominal wage in Ukraine in September amounted to UAH 9042, which exceeds 2.4 times the minimum wage and is 12.9% more than in September 2017.
According to the press service](https://www.kmu.gov.ua/ua/news/serednya-zarplata-v-ukrayini-u-veresni-perevishchila-9-tis-grn-derzhstat) of the Cabinet of Ministers, workers of industrial enterprises, especially in pharmaceutical sector (UAH 16.400), oil refining sector (UAH 11.400) and metallurgy (UAH 11.200), transport, IT received salaries significantly higher than above-average pay.
The average salary in education sphere almost twice exceeded the minimum and amounted to UAH 7,176 UAH. In medicine – UAH 5,730.
