KSCA: In the capital incidence of influenza has decreased by 50.8%

In the capital for the ninth week of 2019, incidence of influenza and URTI was 421.2 and below the epidemic threshold by 50.8%. This was stated by the first deputy chairman of the KSCA Mykla Povoroznyk, informs KSCA press service.
“For the 9th week of 2019, 12,481 patients with influenza and URTI were registered. The incidence of influenza and URTI was 421.2 and below the epidemic threshold by 50.8%. In general, the intensity of the epidemic process is at a level characteristic of this period of the year,” said Povoroznyk.
In the capital, there is still a slight increase in the incidence of influenza and URTI by 0.4%, due to the child population. Thus, children fell ill – 8019 people (an increase of 3.2%), adults – 4462 people (a decrease of 4.3%).
Povoroznyk also added that 141 people were hospitalized for the ninth week, 124 of them are children.
