Airports Council International European (ACI Europe) has included Kharkiv International Airport in the top three fastest growing airports in Europe due to increase its passenger traffic in 2019.
“In 2019, Kharkiv International Airport served 38.4% more passengers than a year earlier. In December, 2019, Kharkiv Airport was also included in the rating: passenger traffic there increased by 45.9% compared to the same period in 2018,” the message reads.
In 2019, the Kharkiv Airport crossed the mark of 1 million passengers per year for the first time in its history. The most popular destinations in 2019 from Kharkiv Airport were Kyiv, Istanbul, Sharm El Sheikh, Antalya, Warsaw, Vienna, Tel Aviv, Gdansk, Wroclaw and Dortmund.
