In the coming days, Shuliavsky bridge will be closed for reconstruction which requires about 811 million UAH. This is reported by UNN.
The report says that, according to the chief engineer of the KP "Directorate for the Construction of Road-Transport Structures" Aleksandr Zdolnik, partial blocking of traffic along the Shulyavsky bridge will begin soon. It is noted that despite the unsatisfactory condition of the worn-out bridge, the traffic movement on it will continue until July.
«It is real to perform restoration works in 17 months. The reconstruction needs about 811 million UAH, taking into account the compensation for demolition of the factory shop № 5. The first turn of reconstruction will be finished by the end of this year. The amount of funds planned for the first phase (380 million UAH) is enough to begin work on replacing the overpass with its expansion to six lanes and to restore traffic on this site», – said Zdolnik.
In addition, it is planned to build two additional bridge exits.
«Now, negotiations are underway between the city authorities and the government about the transfer of the “Bilshovyk” building to the communal property of Kiev. Schemes of detours during the reconstruction period are already established. We hope that serious congestion will be avoided, because the city traffic is reduced in summer», – the message said.
As «The Journalist» reported earlier, utility workers will disassemble all small architectural forms and temporary structures near the Shulyavsky bridge in Kyiv.
