Kyiv musical group B & B Project recorded a new version of one of the most famous melodies in history of cinema – the soundtrack to the film Mission Impossible.

Head of marketing department of the company B & H Film Distribution Company Bogdan Diev reported that Tom Cruise was struck by the new sound of the world-famous musical work. Duo played main musical theme on bandura and accordion, and also shot a video clip on the 34th floor of one of the highest buildings in Ukraine.

Composition was written back in 1967 as a musical theme for the television series Mission Impossible. Cult soundtrack was created by six-time nominee for the Oscar, American jazz pianist Lalo Shifrin. For his composition, the composer was awarded two Grammy Awards. In 1996, members of the group U2 Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen re-recorded this topic on the eve of the premiere of the first film with Tom Cruise in the title role. Over time, the soundtrack has become the most recognizable composition in the world of cinematography.

B & B Project (Bandura & Bayan Project) is a Ukrainian musical group founded in 2015 by bandura player Tatyana Mazur and accordionist Serhiy Shamray. The main task is to popularize the Ukrainian folk instruments. The group performs author compositions, as well as rock covers of world compositions and soundtracks to famous films in its own arrangement.
