KIIS: 52% respondents see no changes since adoption of language law in Ukraine

According to the results of a poll conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) in May-June 2020, 66.5% of Ukrainians believe that the state should facilitate the further implementation of the language law in all areas.

At least 36.3% of them fully agreed with the statement “the state should contribute to the further implementation of the language law in all areas.”

Almost 40% of Ukrainians encounter the Ukrainian language in their lives more often over the past year. At the same time, for 52% of respondents “nothing has changed” since the law “On ensuring the functioning of the Ukrainian language as the state language” was adopted.
