Kyiv city authorities intended to strengthen restrictive measures due to the epidemiological situation in the capital. The HQ for emergency situations will decide on this issue on June 12, according to the adviser to the Kyiv mayor, Volodymyr Bondarenko, RBC-Ukraine reports.
According to Bondarenko, epidemiology situation in Kyiv today is in between the yellow and black scenarios now, which means that the disease is entering a new peak – before even reaching the recession of the previous one.
He said that the summer season did not bring a decrease in the number of patients, so quarantine weakening will be reviewed.
“Right now, we can’t talk about the opening of public catering facilities on the premises, we can’t talk about any mass events with the densities of 1 person per 5 square meters, we can’t talk about the full opening of cultural institutions. These are exactly the moments supposed to take place on June 5 in Ukraine,” he added.
