Kyiv mayor reports 108 new coronavirus cases over past day

Kyiv has 8,662 confirmed coronavirus cases as of August 4, up 108 on previous day, the mayor of Kyiv Vitalii Klitschko announced this on Facebook.

“The number of patients infected with coronavirus has increased by 108 in Kyiv over the past day, with three fatal cases. In total, the coronavirus claimed 138 lives of Kyiv residents. Today, there are already 8,662 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the capital,” Klitschko said.

According to him, among those who fell ill on previous day are 53 women aged 19 to 92, 6 girls aged from 9 to 13, as well as 46 men aged 19 to 80 and three boys aged from 1 to 15. This figure also includes four health workers.

Some 13 patients were hospitalized while others are on self-isolation, under the supervision of doctors.

Klitschko noted that 50 patients recovered over the past day. In total, 3,044 residents of Kiev have been recovered.

Most cases of the disease were found in Darnytsia district (21), Dniprovskiy district (18), Pechersk and Svyatoshyno districts (13 cases each).
