The mayor of the capital Vitalii Klitschko reported 422 new cases of coronavirus in Kyiv over the past day.
“The number of patients with coronavirus in Kyiv is not decreasing. Over the past day, were recorded 422 new cases. Over the entire period of the pandemic in the capital, we recorded the largest number of deaths per day – 21 people died. In total, the coronavirus claimed 518 lives of Kyiv residents,” Vitalii Klitschko wrote.
As of October 14, there are already 28,512 confirmed coronavirus cases in the capital.
Among those who were infected on previous day are:
• 236 women aged 18 to 89;
• 153 men aged 18 to 92;
• 14 girls aged from 16 days to 17 years old, and 19 boys aged from 8 months to 17 years old.
Daily figure also includes 16 health workers.
Some 78 patients were hospitalized in the capital, another are staying on self-isolation, under the supervision of doctors.
In total, 10,299 residents of Kyiv have overcome the coronavirus, up 268 on previous day.
The highest number of new cases were reported in Desnianskyi district (91), Obolonskyi district (61), and in Darnytskyi district (59).
