From 7 to 13 April 2019 European Mathematical Olympiad for Girls will be held in Kyiv for the first time. The event will be held under the patronage of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine with the assistance of the Small Academy of Sciences (IAS).

The competition will be attended by 50 teams from around the world. Representatives from the European countries will also be joined by representatives from the USA, Japan, Mexico, Australia, Canada, Chile, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, India and others.
Participants aged from 13 to 20 years (there are 200) during intellectual competitions will have to solve rather complex mathematical problems in algebra, combinatorics, and geometry and number theory.
The team of Ukraine has been participating in EGMO since the creation of the Olympiad in 2012. Ukraine has three times become the best team in the total score in the official standings. None of the other countries managed to achieve such high results.
