The Chief State Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Liashko on the air of the program “Freedom of Speech” on ICTV has said that the Ukrainian medical system can handle up to 3,500 patients with coronavirus simultaneously.
According to Liashko, the Ministry of Health believes that it is precisely the number of severely infected people that can be hospitalized in intensive care units.
“It will allow us to make it through the coronavirus sickness, while simultaneously treating people for heart attacks, strokes and other urgent conditions,” Liashko said.
