Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko said that the United States Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch did not give him a list of people who should not be prosecuted. But at the same time she expressed concern that the case against Vitaliy Kasko could discredit anti-corruption system in Ukraine, Lutsenko said during an interview with the The Babel.
According to Lutsenko, at a meeting in the Prosecutor General’s Office in January 2017, Jovanovitch asked about the Kasko case. He noted that, according to Jovanovitch, Kasko was an outstanding anti-corruption figure, and the criminal case against him would discredit the anti-corruption system in Ukraine.
