The first meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) in 2020 will be held on January 16 in Minsk. This was reported by the press secretary of the second President of Ukraine, representative of Ukraine in the TCG Leonid Kuchma, Darka Olifer on her Facebook page.
According to Olifer, today, January 14, Leonid Kuchma met with the special representative of the current OSCE head in Ukraine and in the TCG Heidi Grau.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the Minsk agreements and the implementation of the agreements reached at the Normandy Four summit in Paris.
“We discussed the agenda of the first meeting of the TCG in 2020, which to take place on January 16 in Minsk. We noted the importance of the mutual release of the detainees, which occurred on December 29, 2019,” the report said.
Kuchma reported about non-compliance by the militants of the silence regime in Donbas.
“Only after complete ceasefire, the withdrawal of foreign armed formations and hardware from the territory of Ukraine, the restoration of control over the border the peace can return to Ukraine,” Leonid Kuchma said.
As The Journalist reported, Zelensky proposes to create another subgroup within TCG framework.
