Foreign Ministry: Ukraine, Israel to sign free trade agreement by the end of 2018

Yesterday, on August 16, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Pavlo Klimkin has met with the Minister of Environmental Protection of Israel, Ze’ev Elkin. The parties have considered topical issues of bilateral cooperation.
This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (MFA).

During the official meeting, ministers paid special attention to the discussion of the main aspects of trade and economic cooperation. In particular, this was about the importance of signing the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Israel until the end of 2018.
It is known that during the meeting the parties agreed to hold consular consultations in Jerusalem. Such consultations should help to resolve issues of inadmissibility of significant number of Ukrainian citizens for entering Israel territory at the Ben Gurion airport.
According to the ministry, officials also discussed the prospects for the Verkhovna Rada’s approval of the Agreement between Ukraine and the State of Israel on social security. The agreement was signed in September 2012.
As The Journalist reported earlier, Poroshenko concerned over the facts of the inadmissibility of Ukrainian citizens on the territory of Israel.
