In the village of Verkhniotoretske, Donetsk Oblast, partially occupied by militants, local residents are forbidden to enter Ukrainian territory, despite the fact that people are denied access to medical facilities, schools, and a shop. This is reported by the public organization “Defense of Mariupol” on Facebook.
“Militants of the so-called “DNR” organized a humanitarian catastrophe in the village of Donetsk Oblast … After the last rotation at the checkpoint of the so-called “DNR”, the militants banned local residents from entering the Ukrainian territory,” the report says.
It is noted that a significant part of the citizens of Ukraine, who live in the occupied part of Verkhniotoretske, work in the part of the village controlled by Ukraine. Also, residents of the occupied part visit the hospital (one for the whole village), shops and other institutions in the territory controlled by Ukraine. Children living in occupied part of the village go to school (one in the village) on the Ukrainian territory.
As The Journalist reported, Ukrainian troops eliminated one militant in Donbas.
