Militans launched 4 attacks on Ukrainian army positions, using 120-mm and 82-mm mortars prohibited by the Minsk agreements. In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Vostok (“East”), the militants attacked Ukrainian fortified positions 12 times near Avdiyivka, Novotroyitske, Hnutove, Maryinka, Lebedynske, Shyrokine, Pishevik and Pavlopil.
In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Sever (“North”), the enemy three times attacked Ukrainian positions.
“As a result of the shelling, three members of the Joint Forces were injured. According to JFO intelligence on May 2, nine militants were injured,” the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
