One of the main objectives of the pension reform was to stop the discrimination of working pensioners. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine on its official website.
According to the report, media has recently spread information that does not correspond to reality. This is about working pensioners and their obligatory choice between pensions and wages.
«The pension reform that was carried out does not provide for working pensioners a choice between a pension and a salary. It should be noted that one of the results of the pension reform was the abolition of a 15 percent reduction in pension payments to working pensioners since October 1, 2017,» – the Ministry of Social Policy emphasized.
The Ministry asked representatives of media to avoid disseminating of false information.
As The Journalist reported earlier, Ministry of Social Policy provide UAH 4 billion financial assistance for temporary incapacity for work in the first half of 2018.
