The Ministry of Health calls on State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drug Control (DLSU) to revoke the temporary ban on Imovax Polio vaccine (produced in France) and vaccines for the prevention of diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis (produced in India).

It was reported by Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

«State Service of Ukraine on Medicines and Drug Control must call back the previously issued order for the temporary withdrawal of the Imovax Polio vaccine and vaccines prevent of diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis. The Regional Rapid Response Team presented the results of the investigation into the fatal case of a child in the Ternopil region, which coincided with the timing of immunization. The results prove the absence of a causal relationship between immunization and death», – the report said.

The Ministry of Health recalled, that in February 2018, DLSU issued, and subsequently canceled the order for a temporary ban on BCG vaccines. A similar situation occurred in May with the HBV vaccine.

«All vaccines in Ukraine are safe, re-qualified by the World Health Organization and have many years of positive experience of use», – Ministry of Health noted.
