Motor Sich is testing blades for combat helicopters

Testing of blades for Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters manufactured by JSC Motor Sich has started at the flight test complex in Zaporizhzhia. This was announced by the Minister for Strategic Industries on Facebook.

He clarified that Ukraine is among five countries in the world that produce blades for heavy helicopters. To organize production, aircraft manufacturers have purchased high-tech equipment.

The main rotor blades are designed for helicopters weighing 10-12 tons, the local newspaper Industrial reports. The head of Motor Sich Viacheslav Boguslaev noted that in 2021 it is planned to produce 20 sets of such blades, and in 2022 – 60 sets.

The state tests of the blades will be carried out next year.
