“We must continue to help. Of course, it is the fifth year of war and people are tired. But we have more than 20,000 wounded soldiers in Ukraine. There are a lot with heavy injures, ”said Iyina Vashchuk, President of Foundation Revived Soldiers Ukraine.
"Now the tour began with Yonkers, today – in New York, next Friday – Detroit, Saturday – Chicago, Sunday – New Jersey, a week later on Saturday – Philadelphia, Boston, and the last concert in Florida will be with Pavlo Tabakov", – Iryna explained.
Mykola Levko, a veteran of National Guard of Ukraine, was present at concert in New York. He was injured by a mine exploding near the town of Gorlovka.
Now he expects prosthetics in the United States, which should take place soon.
“Mykola Levko one of those who have heavy injures. Not only two legs were lost, but also the reconstruction of the hip bone, which in Ukraine could not be done” explained the President of Revived Soldiers Ukraine Foundation.
Iryna explained that all members of the foundation work on a volunteer basis, in parallel with the main work.
“Thanks to such events, we can solve a big problem in one day, which is very difficult for them to solve at home,” she added.
For the day of charity in New York managed to raise $ 9,670.
Foundation Revived Soldiers Ukraine was founded in the USA at the end of 2015. During the period of its existence, it has already managed to collect about more than $ 500,000, organize operations and medical treatment in the USA for 13 servicemen with the most difficult wounds, and help 58 wounded soldiers in Ukraine.
