JFO: Nine militants killed over past day in Donbas

Over the past day, February 18, the militants launched 12 attacks on Ukrainian positions in Donbas. As a result, four Ukrainian soldiers were injured, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation HQ reported on Facebook.

Militants shelled Ukrainian fortified positions using anti-tank missile systems, weapons mounted on infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.
In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Vostok (“East”), the militants attacked Ukrainian fortified positions six times in the area of Lebedynskye, Vodyane, Opytne, Pavlopil and Maryinka.
In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Sever (“North”), the enemy open fire at JFO positions six times in the area of Ekaterynivka, Novotoshkivske, Travneve and Krymske settlements.
During the fighting, four members of the United Forces units were injured. Units of the Joint Forces conducted an active defense and gave an adequate response to the enemy
According to intelligence reports, nine occupiers were killed and another one was captured.
