On January 16, the Russian occupation forces violated the cease-fire regime 11 times. This was reported by the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) HQ on its official Facebook page.
In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Sever (North), the militants attacks Ukrainian positions in the area of the village of Troyitske, Pivdenne and Krymske.
Also area of activity of the operational-tactical group Vostok (East), the militants opened fire from grenade launchers of various types and small arms attacking the Ukrainian positions near the village of Chermalyk; the enemy resorted to 82-mm mortars to shell the Novoselivka Druga settlement; from heavy machine guns was shelled Nevelske village; from heavy machine guns and rifle weapons two times was attacked the town of Avdiyivka; from heavy machine guns and small arms was attacked the village of Pisky; from heavy machine guns and small arms was also attacked the city Maryinka, as well as Krasnohorivka village.
As a result of shelling conducted by the Russian occupation forces, five members of the Joint Forces received injuries of varying degrees of severity and another five received combat-related injuries.
Units of the Joint Forces conducted an active defense and gave an adequate response to the enemy. According to intelligence data, on January 15, ten occupiers were killed and another three were injured.
As The Journalist reported, Ukraine will receive two more IMF tranches in 2019.
