JFO: One militant eliminated over past day in Donbas

Over the past day, January 20, the militants launched 16 attacks in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area. As a result, one Ukrainian soldier was injured, the press center of the Joint Forces Operation HQ reported on its Facebook page.

In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Vostok (“East”), the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions four times using grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms near the village of Pavlopil and two times near the village of Hnutove. In addition, Ukrainian positions were attacked near the village of Kamianka, Pisky, Vodyane, Shyrokyne, Krasnohorivka and Novomykhailivka.
In the area of activity of the operational-tactical group Sever ("North"), The enemy opened fire from grenade launchers of various systems and heavy machine guns near the village of Vilnye and from grenade launchers of various systems (twice) near the village of Krymske.
Units of the Joint Forces conducted an active defense and gave an adequate response to the enemy. According to intelligence data, on January 20 one occupier was killed and another two were injured.
