Ukrainian servicemen with the help of air defense have shot down a Russian drone that conducted reconnaissance of Ukrainian army positions in the direction of Pervomaisk-Sievierodonetsk-Svatove in Donbas. This is reported by the press center of the by the Joint Forces Operation HQ on Facebook.

After radar stations have detected a drone, operating in the area, it was shot down by the Air Defense system of the Joint Forces Operation unit. It was soon established that the UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) was equipped with a camera with 12 lenses for panoramic aerial photography and video shooting with the possibility of transferring the collected information to the control point in real time.

«Individual components of the UAV, in particular an optoelectronic system is worth about USD 100 thousand, produced by a Russian company that is under US sanctions and works together with the manufacturer of the UAV Orlan. It is noted that the estimated cost of one camera is more than USD 100 thousand,» – the report said.
