Over 35,000 people cross border at checkpoints with occupied Donbas over past day

At least 35.1 thousand people and 4.1 thousand cars crossed the checkpoints with occupied Donbas on January 3, 2019. This was reported by the press service of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS).
The source reports that on Jan 3 7,575 people and 880 vehicles passed through the Maiyorske checkpoint; through Mariyinka checkpoint passed 7,220 people and 1,170 cars; through Novotroyitske – 6,710 people and 1,310 cars; through Hnutove – 2,925 people and 625 vehicles, and 10,545 people passed through the Luhanske checkpoint.
It is noted that checkpoints on the contact line were opened in accordance to the winter schedule of work this morning and operating in normal mode.
As The Journalist reported, Ukrainians use visa-free travel mostly to visit Poland.
