Andriy Gerus, Chairman, Association of Consumers of Electricity and Communal Services, has said that DTEK energy holding company, owned by Rinat Akhmetov, did not form coal reserves for the heating season this summer.

Volynets is also involved in blackmail, scaring with fan-blackouts, a shortage of coal and non-payment of wages to miners,» Gerus wrote on his Facebook, commenting on the situation at the Luhansk Thermal Power Plant.
According to him, at the Luhansk TPP, which provides electricity to 1 million Ukrainians living in the Luhansk Oblast, has only three-day supply of anthracite coal left.
