A photo of an Italian photographer which depicts perished Ukrainian warrior Sergei Kobchenko on it received the gold award at the Tokyo International Foto Awards competition. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The photograph, who captured the senior sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the grenade thrower of the 72 separate Black Zaporizhian mechanized brigade, Serhii Kobchenko, won the ‘Last glance’ nomination at international competition in Japan.
“Italian photographer Roberto Travano, being in February 2017 in the Donbas region of Ukraine, in particular in the Avdiyivka industrial zone, was struck by the dedication of Ukrainian soldiers and took many photos,” the report said.
The report notes that Roberto Travano is preparing a series of photo stories about the Ukrainian military.
INFO: Senior Sergeant Serhii Kobchenko has heroically died on April 25, 2017 in result of shelling conducted by Russian terrorist troops against Ukrainian fortified positions, located in the industrial zone in the city of Avdiyivka. He was posthumously awarded with Order For Courage 3rd class.
